LA MÚSICA NO TIENE FRONTERAS

ACADEMIC DAYS

During a year is carried out, in more than 100 communities of the countryside, academic days with itinerant instructors that go from the capital of the country (Asunción) every weekend with the support of local professors of the communities.

REGIONAL SEMINARS

To integrate the communities that are closer, and increase the exchange between them, is carried out “Regional Seminars” that, in each opportunity, they gather between 100 to 200 children and young. They participate in intensive days of instrumental technique, practices, concerts and activities of social integration.

FESTIVALS AND NATIONAL SEMINARS OF YOUNG ORCHESTRAS

In the period of winter and summer vacations its carried out national meetings with all the orchestras of the project. The different groups, folkloric groups, symphonic orchestras, camera orchestras and chorus of different participant communities, have opportunity to present their work to each other and in parallel they participate in workshops, where selected by instruments and level receive continuous training. The days are supplemented with activities of healthy enjoy, spaces for the exchange of experiences and initiatives with their mates of other regions of the country.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENT MAKERS SCHOOL FACTORY

In the Lutheria workshop the youngs receive training for the construction and repair of musical instruments, this gives them the possibility to make their own musical instrument, and at the same time, provides them a work opportunity.
These workshops are developed in the communities of Itá, San Ignacio, Concepción, Captain Cue and Cateura.

Since 2007, a program of business incentive is implemented. Through the commercialization of instruments that were made in workshops.

SCHOLARSHIPS

As a result of the soon appearance of musical talents and the improvement desires of a big quantity of children and young participant of the project, the Skoll Foundation granted 60 scholarships for academic studies in 2007, this benefit young musicians with outstanding potential and scarce resources that come from the different schools that conform the project.

The scholarships include the covering of individual days in the instrument with specialized professors, and the transportation from the community of the beneficiaries to their formation center.

CHORUS DIRECTION

In order to impulse the chorus music in Paraguay, and thanks to the support of the Skoll Foundation, in 2007 were granted 20 scholarships to young of the paraguayan countryside with basic knowledge of musical reading, interested on enlarge their studies of Coral Direction. As a result, will be created 20 coral groups in diverse points of the country.

SCHOLARSHIPS TO EUROPE

Since 2006, children and young with excellent talent, examples of social transformation, travel with Master Luis Szarán in Concert tours for diverse cities of Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic and France. During 2006, were benefitted 7 young and in 2007 will play on tours 11 young that will participate in the International Festival of Sarrebourg (France) and the World Orchestra Weltweite Klänge in tour for cities of Germany, Switzerland and France.

PHILHARMONIC ASSOCIATIONS STRENGTHENING

In order to consolidate the cultural associations sustainability of the towns associated to the project, since 2007 was implemented a program of institutional strengthening. This program is developed in 44 communities of the country, increasing their capacities of self-management, planning, fund-raising, events organization and activities diffusion.
